This qualification gives the learner knowledge and understanding of when it is safe to tackle fires using extinguishers. Learn the
properties of a variety of different types of fires and the correct extinguisher to use to help minimise damage and potential injury.
Understand how to comply with legislation and how to perform routine inspections and gain a better overall understanding of fire safety
practices.
Delegates will understand how to undertake routine extinguisher inspections and follow correct protocol in order to comply with legal
guidelines and legislation, such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
This course is aimed at those who are nominated by their employers to use fire extinguishers and fire fighting equipment. This includes anyone identified in the fire risk assessment, such as fire wardens, managers, supervisors, and other employees who may have been nominated to fight small, controllable fires.
The Practical Fire Extinguisher Training course is delivered in a classroom and there is a mix of theory and practical elements required to successfully complete the course. We will deliver the course In-House at your site for a group of employees.
